Aspreys – Highway Improvement Works – Footpath Improvements

As part of the Yardley Road development S278 Highway Improvement Works the Phase 2 works will be commencing shortly.

The Phase 1 works on Yardley Road were completed last year, with Phase 2 planned to be carried out this year during Spring/Summer. 

The works to be undertaken are generally footpath improvement works and is a requirement of the S278 Agreement entered into by the Consortium with Milton Keynes Highway Authority.

In liaison with Milton Keynes Highways Department the Consortium’s Main Contractor, M & J Evans Limited, plan to commence Phase 2 on the 9th May 2022 with an anticipated completion date of 17th August 2022.  The works are proposed to be spread out over this period to enable continued access and less impact on the general public.

M & J Evans will be carrying out the works to ensure continued safe public access to a footpath throughout the works.  There will be no requirement for a formal road closure but traffic management will be in place to ensure work activities, traffic and pedestrians are effectively and safely managed. The working areas and specific dates associated with those works can be identified on the attached plans.

We would like to apologise in advance for any disruption the works may create, the works are unavoidable but hope the community as a whole can benefit from the works once they are complete. Download a pdf copy of the Highway Improvement works Plan.
